Join us for a day of plein air painting in the stunning gardens of Ugbrooke House, led by award-winning Devon artist Richard Thorn. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique or simply enjoy a day of creativity outdoors, this class is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the region’s most accomplished watercolourists.
At lunchtime, gather in the Orangery tearoom for a complimentary tea or coffee and a chance to chat with fellow artists. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch—or why not treat yourself to a cream tea? (Booking required.)

About the Artist:
Richard Thorn began painting professionally in the early 1980s and has since exhibited in leading galleries across the UK, America, Taiwan, and South Korea. His work has featured at the Royal Institute, where he has twice been awarded Best Watercolour. Richard is also a published author and a highly regarded tutor.
