In
this, our 6th season at Ugbrooke, New Devon Opera is
presenting another of opera’s all-time favourites. In a
classic story of love and heartbreak, Verdi’s gloriously
melodic music ranks amongst his most recognisably tuneful and
romantic. Wonderful melodies (sung in English by an
international cast of opera singers); a 19 piece orchestra; a
community chorus and supporting cast drawn from south west
singers; beautiful Victorian costumes, set and lighting - all
staged in the courtyard of one of Devon's most lovely country
houses. |

In aid
of the Devon Branch of Sense – the charity that helps
deafblind people
Once again, New
Devon Opera is proud to be in partnership with Ugbrooke and,
with the Devon Branch of SENSE, to raise funds for this
wonderful charity that does so much to help deafblind people
in Devon.
Bring your own
picnic (or enjoy a delicious buffet supper); wander through
the grounds to the lake and relax while you take in the
beautiful views of distant Dartmoor. Come with your friends
and enjoy a glorious evening of gorgeous music and intense
drama. Even our notoriously difficult weather is promising to
improve!! But, if a shower should strike, the comfortable
upholstered seating will be sited under protective awnings.
Tickets: £27.50 available from
Sense Devon Branch
Buffet supper tickets: £10.00 (for info and tickets: phone
Graham on 01626-863605, or Nicola on 07817-770381 or Jane on
