The concert will
open with a recital of solo piano music from Bach to
Rachmaninov via other masterpieces by Chopin, Schumann and
Liszt, given by Peter Adcock.
Profits will
support South Devon Sports Association for the Disabled.

Bring your
own picnics in the grounds from 6.30pm before either concert.
A glass of wine and nibbles will be provided in the
conservatory; and a talk (7.15pm) precedes each concert in the
chapel at 7.30pm....

feature internationally renowned trumpeter, Crispian
Steele-Perkins, back by popular request to present one of his
fascinating, illuminating and inspiring recital-lectures
through the history of the trumpet, playing specially selected
pieces from Handel to Gershwin on appropriate period
instruments.
Profits will
support the Tiverton Market Youth Drop-in Centre.

In
this, our 7th season at Ugbrooke, New Devon Opera is
presenting arguably opera’s all-time favourite.
Wonderful melodies (sung in English by an
international cast of opera singers); a 20 piece orchestra; a
community chorus and supporting cast drawn from south west
singers; set and lighting - all
staged in the gardens of one of Devon's most lovely country
houses.

In aid
of the Devon Branch of Sense – the charity that helps
deafblind people
Once again, New
Devon Opera is proud to be in partnership with Ugbrooke and,
with the Devon Branch of SENSE, to raise funds for this
wonderful charity that does so much to help deafblind people
in Devon.
Bring your own
picnic, or buy a delicious individual picnic bag. For the
first time, picnics can be pre-booked through the Phoenix Box
Office at the same time as you book your 'Carmen' opera
tickets, which will be waiting for you to collect when you
arrive for the opera. Nick Powell, Head Chef at the
award-winning Elizabethan Inn Restaurant at Luton near Newton
Abbot, will prepare sandwiches and salads on the day of
performance. Your picnic comes complete with cutlery and
plates so you will have an individual meal to enjoy before the
performance or during the supper interval. Individual drinks
and bottles of wine may also be purchased from the bar.
